Learn the ancient art of painting with hot wax! In this two day workshop you will discover how to create both translucent and highly textured, carvable surfaces. All materials are included. Each participant will receive one practice surface and one prepared wood panel to take home. Additional panels are also available for purchase on site.Â
This is a pick-your-price workshop. When you register, simply choose one of the four price points that work for you. If you can't make it to both days, you can still learn the basics of encaustics by attending the Saturday session only. Simply choose one of the lower price ticket options, or enter your own price using the flex price option.
Note: Wax layers are fused together using either a propane torch or a heat gun. Participants should be comfortable using at least one of these high heat tools.
